Came home from the grocery store around 1:30 today and it was, as usual, hotter than blue blazes so I looked at the temperature to see just how hot and it was 99.7!! Now, here it is 3:30, a storm has rolled in (apparently the first of some that are supposed to bring cooler weather) and it is now 76 degrees!!!
Keeping my fingers crossed that the weathermen will prove right and this coming week will see lower temperatures...

My daughter pointed out, wisely, that travels can also include trips to the kitchen to try a new recipe, trips to visit family, trips to my neighborhood Starbucks, or a fun day trip with a friend. I recently added an "Italian Word a Day" thingie which shows up at the bottom of every page. You see the word and can click to hear it pronounced. I've been enjoying it and I think my accent is improving as time goes by.

Isn't it delightful!? It is 77 here now, at noon; not 99 like last Friday. We had a major thunderstorm go through last night; this entire week is now forecast at 88-90 high, which is nice relief from Saturday's 105!
